In 1951, two craftsmen, the brothers Giacomo and Gabriele Tondi, founded a carpentry workshop that in 1991 became TM Italia. In 1998, the founders’ sons Ares and Gianluca embarked on the company’s modernisation and industrialisation process and introduced the concept of a variable matrix system in kitchen design: this manufacturing standardisation process, however, still permits a high degree of product customisation for any project, from residential to public spaces. Today TM Italia is keen to perfect the globalisation process.
TM Italia’s production site remains in the hills of the Marche region where the company was founded, near Ascoli Piceno. The production line integrates sophisticated woodworking techniques with advanced automation processes. The result is a manufacturing structure that works on highly customised and effectively unique projects. Over the years, TM Italia has developed a production chain, totally made in Italy, which integrates the excellence and craftsmanship of various production districts in the supply and processing of wood, marble and precious stones, crystal, metal and industrial surfaces, from laminates to solid surface.
The skill and design flexibility of the R&D team allow TM Italia to offer a wide range of solutions from kitchens to living rooms, wall systems, bathroom, technical furniture, with the integration of doors, soundproofing systems, lighting and electro-assisted movement systems, air conditioning systems, air intake and purification systems, home automation solutions and remote controls. The result can range from the customisation of the solutions offered in the catalogue, to the development of custom furnishings and the supply of turnkey interiors. We see examples of this in the various turnkey projects carried out from Rome to New York, from London to Naples, by way of Zurich, Miami, Lugano and other international cities.
