Handleless kitchens

Designing handleless kitchens means thinking about the feeling with your furniture. Precious materials, accurate workmanship, shape solutions, technological additions.
The TM Italia range allows you to choose between five door models without handles, ranging from the straight profile of K6 and D90 to the inclined profile of T30 and T45. G180 features a particular groove processing that allows gripping, obtained directly on the panel and with continuity of the material.

Handleless kitchen with straight-edge door

The T45 model features a 45° inclined edge. This geometry offers great compositional versatility and freedom in the use of finishes. In the T45 Evo variant, the door with an inclined edge is perfectly adjacent to the worktop, also with a 45° edge, hiding in the thickness and creating great visual lightness. In this case the opening takes place through a push&pull mechanism.

The T30 collection has a 30° inclined door and introduces the groove element on the structure. The “C” profile creates a space between the door and the worktop to insert the fingers and open the door and it can also be vertical to allow the tall unit doors to open. The T30 Air variant has a worktop with an inclination of 30° and protruding with respect to the doors, creating the illusion of great lightness. The grip of the door takes place through the gap that is created with between the worktop and the door itself.

The T45 and T30 doors can have a thickness of 22 or 28 mm and can be made in all the materials present in the collection. The grooves can be ton-sur-ton or in contrast with the finishes of the doors and top.

The D90+ collection features doors that protrude 20 mm from the worktop: this evolution allows comfortable opening while maintaining essential aesthetics. It combines with a tapered edge top that prevents liquids from spilling over the door, ensuring full functionality.

TM Italia | Cucina design K6 in laminato fenix

The K6 model has a straight door and introduces the groove on the structure to allow grip and at the same time give rhythm to the composition. The “C” profile creates a space between the door and the worktop for the fingers and can also be arranged vertically to allow the tall unit doors to open.

The straight edge doors can be made in three thicknesses: 12, 22 and 28 mm. They are compatible with a wide range of materials including metals, stones, marbles, stoneware, glass, wood veneers, Corian or eco-malta. The 12 mm thickness, with aluminum honeycomb internal structure, is available in wood veneers, lacquered, eco-malta and laminates.

TM Italia | Cucina con isola, design G180, isola in acciaio inox, dispensa in rovere

Kitchens with G180 door

The G180 collection includes a “U” profile obtained on the upper edge of the door to allow grip. It can cover the whole length of the front or only a part of it: a detail that guarantees extreme formal cleanliness with the use of a single material on the whole front and, in the case of wood essences, with continuity of the vein. In cases where two adjacent doors or fronts have grooves in contact, one of the two will be replaced by a counter groove. The doors of the G180 model can have a thickness of 22 or 28 mm and can be made in all types of wood, steel, glossy, matt, embossed and special lacquer.

The kinematic mechanisms in kitchens without handles

The opening of a door can become “the” detail that distinguishes the interaction with the user. It starts from the mechanical opening, available in various collections, such as the T45, G180, D90+ to get to the choice of push&pull which allows movement with a soft touch on the surface.

An evolution of the latter method is the electro-assisted push&pull opening possible in various collections such as the Petra(18) collection or it can range towards futuristic kitchen solutions with electro-pneumatic openings, as in the historic FX Carbon creation. The latter solutions can include additional functional features, such as internal lighting with twilight sensors or centralized blocking of the openings.

In this design perspective, in which home automation is also increasingly important and defines the kitchen as the center of home management, the technological aspect of the kinematic mechanisms is not lacking in the choice and modulation of the door openings.
With TM Italia there are no limits to the design of the doors, for a design kitchen that looks towards the future and takes the best from the experience of the past.
