Petra, a LAB project from 2008, represents the first stone kitchen by TM Italia with home automation equipment. The use of the local travertine is a tribute to the Piceno area. The three-dimensionality of travertine and Corten steel are combined with sophisticated technical devices, shape solutions, invisible technology, extreme usability of the interface.
The travertine island is made with a stratification of materials that guarantee lightness and solidity. The travertine doors are feature aeronautical technology which involves the use of aluminum honeycomb structure to allow lightness and structural solidity, increasing the longevity of the hinges. In a few seconds, the monolith transforms into an articulated system equipped with an extractable oven, a television, and a sliding worktop that reveals the sink with extractable taps and the induction hob. All the drawers have electro-assisted opening and internal LED lighting .
